i am the child of the wasteland....a land of haunted houses and monsters i call father. dark talents run in the family, but i shatter the glass to let the moonlight in, not to destroy something fragile for the feeling of breaking beneath my fists. all i can do is scream, crawl out, and keep screaming. but i can hold the sparrow, mend its wing... i am the spring rain and the hurricane... the monsters cower now, not me, not you. *xn* |

**~CHRISTIAN MERRY~**
Vocals, lyrics, melodies, co-primary songwriter, co-producer, artist and founder of ACTS MAGDALENA wa s born in Takoma Park Maryland, and raised in va rious towns of the East and Northwest before settling in New York City. Her songwriting style is based not on imitation of others music, but on capturing the effect of a great book, a photograph, or a powerful emotional experience. Her voic e cannot be co mpared to any one singer, except to string the extremes together to form combinations such as "a cross between Grace Slick and Rob Zombie," and have it be true....
**~RICK van BENSCHOTEN~**
Lead fretless and fretted Bass, co-primary songwriter, producer and engineer of ACTS MAGDALENA's recordings, was born and raised on Long Island. For him the Bass is an instrument of expression and he makes it sing, moan, roar and wail like something both earthbound and unworldly. It is not the traditional background thump, it is a lead presence in the melodic textures woven into their songs both dreamlike and nightmarish.....
**~RAUL VASQUEZ~**
Born and raised in New York, brings a formidable sound to his instrument. He makes his drums flow and explode and then drives the songs to heaven or hell. He has the ability to play complex, intricate patter ns within a driving beat, making it his own and giving it a unique voice.
Instruments
Heavy hardcore and ethereal female vocals, 5-string fretless and fretted Bass, Guitar, Drums

"Any band brave enough to tag it's first CD with the line "remember when listening to music felt dangerous" had better have the goods or prepare to be cracked by critics. Well, Acts Magdalena does - and then some"
