i am the child of the wasteland....a land of haunted houses and monsters i call father. dark talents run in the family, but i shatter the glass to let the moonlight in, not to destroy something fragile for the feeling of breaking beneath my fists. all i can do is scream, crawl out, and keep screaming. but i can hold the sparrow, mend its wing... i am the spring rain and the hurricane... the monsters cower now, not me, not you. *xn* |
Part One of the Red Triptych, this is "Butterfly". Hand drawn colored pencil and ink 17inx14in.
I had to take a drawing break from the graphic novel. This is not the style of art in the book, these came from out of nowhere. Its my favorite kind of inspiration- the thunderbolt. They are always the most amazing to me as an artist- I seem to look back on them and think.. where the hell did that come from? "Butterfly" now belongs to Charlize Theron. And by the way if you haven't seen "Monster" yet, you should. If she doesn't win the Academy Award, they should just burn all those little statues. *Christian*
